I love rice. I grew up eating it as my daily staple. I love beans and sausages too. These do not go very well with rice, or so I thought, until I came across this fantastic recipe that involves all three of my favourite ingredients.

The recipe is called rice, red beans, and smoked sausages. Well, what can be more precise than that?

Just soak the beans in cold water. Do it overnight for best results. Then, drain them and place in a large pot. Fill with water, and throw in some sausages, garlic, onion, and spices (pepper, sage, thyme, and cayenne). Bring to the boil. Next, place a cover and let it simmer for about 3 hours. Add in a pinch of salt to taste. If you like your soup thick, just mash some beans and put it back into the pot. When the soup is ready, pour it over hot, piping rice.

All the ingredients used are bought fresh at the market, except that I bought the smoked sausage online. This must be one of the most satisfying dishes I can make for myself.

I was in Boise the other week for some business. Normally I will drive home afterward since it is only about 80 minutes away from my house, but I needed to be there early the following morning so I decided to just stay the night. I was in the mood for flatbread, so I did an online search for flatbread pizza in Boise since I rarely eat in the city. I wasn’t sure where to go for my favorite meal, but I was able to fix that problem. I went to a pizzeria that was just a few blocks from the hotel, and I had the best flatbread that I have ever tasted. I almost felt guilty that my family wasn’t there to enjoy it with me, but I pushed the guilt away as I enjoyed my flatbread because we are close enough to where I can bring them here a few times a month!

One of my friends told me a few days ago that he is going to travel pretty soon and he is going to take a little vacation with his family. He told me that he is going to stay in one of the most beautiful hotels he has ever seen in his life. He showed me some pictures of that hotel because a few years ago he travel there and I think that it is one of the most beautiful hotels out there and it is absolutely worth going there. The best part is that staying at that hotel is not expensive as someone would think. The mullingar hotels are just the best ones out there and I am going to travel to that place next year with my family. I believe that my family would really enjoy staying in that hotel for a long time and that is what I plan to do next year.

It was not easy for Mia to tell her family that she was getting married to Ron. Although her family loves Ron, Mia was afraid that her parents may discourage her from getting married within the next three years. Her sisters were still in school and since her dads meager income could not support the needs of the entire family, they are actually counting on Mia to help out. Getting married may change everything and Mia is not sure if her family is going to take things lightly. But Ron is determined to marry her and she knows that it would be next to impossible for her to find a man like him. So she gathered all her strength and courage and finally, on the day of her birthday, she told them. Surprisingly, her parents took the news positively. They even offered to be the one to look for an outside catering company to take care of the food for the reception. Mia was overjoyed when she saw her familys reaction. She was even moved to tears.
